Network of Collaborators

Network of Collaborators 2019-08-30T17:05:10+00:00

Networks are the most adaptive organizational design; we choose to operate as one.

Interaction Agility is a small shop with a very wide reach. Our colleagues include a vast array of seasoned professionals, with deep experience in diverse industries. We pull partners in at various stages of an engagement, from planning and design, to implementation and delivery, to follow up support.

We adapt and respond to each opportunity as called for, rather than approaching engagements with an off-the-shelf process or solution. Through our network we draw on and apply content, expertise, experiences, and leadership as they benefit you.

Cynthia Loy Darst, MFA, CPCC, ORSCC, MCC

Cynthia Loy Darst is known internationally as a Co-Active Coach, a relationship worker, keynote speaker, author, provocateur (emcee), course leader, coach trainer, talent scout, leader developer & trainer, team and large group facilitator, business consultant, media guest, and workshop creator. She has been a Front of the Room Leader for CTI (The Coaches Training Institute) and CRR Global, since each of them began, and has played an active role in leader development for both schools; she loves this eclectic mix of roles!

Whether working with individuals, partnerships, leaders or teams, her focus is always on awareness, growth, and development. She works with people from all walks of life: CEOs to chiropractors, singers to Silicon Valley pros, teams that produce documentaries to sales teams in the insurance industry. One distinct passion is to explore their unique strengths and challenges and work with them to become ever more effective in their work and their world.

Training other people to use coaching skills and to relate to others from a ‘coaching stance’ is one of her passions. Cynthia has traveled and taught internationally – over 14 countries at last count – teaching people how to listen deeply, bring curiosity to their life and be ‘co-active’ in their approach. Her audiences includes work with managers, sales teams, IT professionals (in the Agile world), and human beings who want to coach others or simply be more successful themselves.

History

Cynthia has always been fascinated by people – by the way our minds work, by the way our backgrounds and cultures influence us, by the way we each uniquely see the world. We human beings have so very much in common, and yet are all so unique. This interest in people first drew her into professional acting and personal growth work in New York City in the 80’s and then into Co-Active Coaching as it began in the early 90’s. In the 1980’s, she became a career consultant for professional actors at Actor’s Information Project (AIP) helping them get focused and into action creating the work that they wanted in the entertainment industry. That was a pre-cursor of coaching today.

In 1992, Cynthia was in the second course that the brand new Coaches Training Institute (CTI) offered. By 1994 she had been working as a full-time professional coach and became one of the first Front-of-Room Leaders for CTI.

In 1995 Cynthia continued to build her reputation as a pioneer in the coaching profession as a core participant in gathering professional coaches to San Francisco. Their mission was to make sure that this emerging profession had Ethics & Standards, and that we would be able to be ‘self governing.’ Because of that meeting, the International Coach Federation (ICF) came into being.

In 2004, after 10 years of growing coaches to the level of ‘competent,’ she started creating ongoing training for advanced coaches to support them in becoming coaching masters. The Inside Team courses, workshops, and retreats came out of that work. In 2018, The Inside Team book will be released.

Stacee Mandeville

How do you get to Carnegie Hall?

You take the yellow line to 57th st in Manhattan with the rest of NYC….unless you practice, practice, practice. Then you get there in a limo while your entourage fights off the paparazzi!

You don’t need a Google search to tell you that powerful soft skills (executive presence, emotional intelligence, influencing, interpersonal effectiveness, etc.) can plug holes in your bottom line:

-increase employee productivity and happiness while decreasing turnover
-make meetings shorter and more concise with less follow-up time
-manage global teams more effectively
-increase ease of onboarding
-decrease pushback in any change management strategies
-develop client relationships made to last an built to refer

To me, that sounds like more money in the bank.

Sadly, many soft skills courses are loaded with gobbledygook, pseudo-science, and theories with no mention of HOW a theory should be applied in an actionable and concrete fashion. Lots to think about, but very little to practice, practice, practice.

Theory without action is my nemesis. Theory without action is why I founded Red Leaf.

No matter what kind of coaching session I offer, I’m always seeking to support “what you should do” theory with a practical “how you can do it” concrete, repeatable, practically benchmarkable, practice strategies, making soft skills as concrete as possible. So you can practice, practice, practice.

Since 1991 I have been partnering with companies in a myriad of industries all over the world to plug the holes in their bottom line. If you have a sneaking suspicion that your soft skills are leaking, I’d love to partner with you as well!
